I have received requirement to delete WBS Elements and corresponding Project Definitions.
Though standard BAPI's will support this purpose, while dealing with mass updates , mass deletion i.e higher volumes , felt very much difficult to dealt this hence developed custom report to deal with this case.
To handle the part of functionality which ever Report is handling, we have no SAP standard transactions:
This Custom report can be used to display the internal projects details which were deleted using this report.
Following are the options available in this report.
- Select the Projects which wish to delete.
- Display the deleted internal projects details.
Code presented below can be used directly (copy-paste-run).
- i.e., it doesn’t require creating any screens at all.
As this report is developed using the Application List Viewer(ALV) concepts, user who runs this report is able to
- Display the Report as required
- Able to download the report
- Able to adjust the filed lengths of the report
- Able to swap the columns of the report.
Whenever Internal Projects were loaded wrongly in SAP, till today there is no such transactions or functionalities exists in SAP to delete those transactions or functionalities.
We faced the same situation in our work, that some wrong project definitions were loaded in the SAP, which needs to be deleted.
As on today, in SAP we have only functionality to archive such projects and as there is no delete functionality available, we wish to create a handy tool report to delete the loaded internal projects.
We have received very good benefits of this report as we have successfully deleted the projects which were loaded into sap many times in our WORK.
